Maureen's topic of the day will be combi mode, twin needle set up & stitching, and using the BSR (Bernina Stitch Regulator).
This 6-week course is designed to help students develop the skills, muscle control and coordination needed for successful machine quilting, both straight-line and free motion. Day 1 will be basting and grid quilting a charity quilt (which will be provided). You will provide the batting and thread and donate the quilted quilt, binding is not necessary. Day 2 is ditch work, stabilizing, following a printed line on cheater cloth panel, loops and stipple. Day 3-5 is free motion on a doodle sandwich and doing different filler patterns. Day 6 is putting it all together so no machine is necessary, just bring pieced tops from home.
