This beginner's class will meet once a week for 6 weeks, for a 2-3 hour session. You'll learn to use a rotary cutter, sew an accurate 1/4 inch seam, and make 4 patches and half-square triangles to create a traditional quilt block. Make 4 blocks, add borders, then baste and machine quilt your project before adding a sleeve, attaching the binding and a label. You'll have a finished project in six weeks!
WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS:
- Machine in good working order & with necessary parts (bobbin/bobbin case, foot control, power cord, manual, etc.)
- Rotary cutter and mat
- Long ruler (or 6-1/2" square ruler)
- Scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.
- Piecing thread (100% cotton in beige or grey)
- Pack of safety pins for basting
