Beginner Collage Class

Collage Quilting is a fun art quilting technique that is easy enough for a beginner.  Join Mary Groesbeck and make a beautiful collage quilt.  You may choose from any of the four designs pictured here.  During your experience you will learn several concepts and layering processes for different designs. 

What To Bring to Class:
-Steam -A-Seam (lite or 2) with enough square footage to be twice the size of their finished collage
**Other 2-sided fusible adhesive will work if you have experience with using it.
-6" SHARP scissors to cut fabric cleanly (preferably serrated scissors)
-7.5" or 8" fabric shears for cutting larger pieces of fabric 
-Paper scissors for cutting paper products
-Fabric: enough to cover each area on of the design in that fabric.  You can use fat quarters, fat eights or fabric from your stash.  Your design will determine how much fabric you will need. 
-4 Wonder Clips or paper clips or binder clips or very small hair clips, etc.

-A cup with a very secure lid (NOT A DRIVE THROUGH CONTAINER/LID)
-Lunch/snacks

**MSS will provide an ironing station with an Applique Pressing Sheet.  If you prefer to have your own at your table you can bring your own travel iron, pressing surface and am Applique Pressing Sheet.
