Quilt Along with Roberta Sanders
Join Roberta each month for the next 6 months creating blocks from Lori Holt's book "Farm Girl Vintage". This book encouraged Roberta to try new blocks and gave her the confidence to take her quilting to the next level. The instructions are easy to understand and you are given the option of two block sizes to work with, 6" or 12". Roberta will discuss the importance of cutting accurately, consistent seam allowances and learning to square up blocks as you go along so your quilt will come together correctly.
You can be vintage or modern with your color palette, whatever strikes your fancy. The picture featured is merely a sample of some of the blocks you will be making. You can decide if you'd like to make a lap quilt, wall hanging or table runner. It is strictly up to you! Roberta will provide you with a different supply list for each class. The supply list for the Feb. 2nd class will be available at MY Sewing Shoppe.
-Sewing machine is good working order with all necessary parts
-Rotary cutter with new blade
-Self healing mat
-6 1/2 square ruler
-2 1/2 x 6 1/2 Creative grid ruler by Erica (this is a very helpful tool when checking your units)
-Sewing notions (pins, rulers, snips, seam ripper, marking pen or pencil, etc)
