French Hand Sewing Technique Class/Sewing Machine Method

French hand sewing or heirloom sewing, is a style of sewing that incorporates fine fabric, embroidered insertion, lace, entredeux, puffing and tucked panels creating delicate garments and other items.  Traditionally this type of sewing was done by hand and took many loving hours to complete a garment.

Susan will show you how to make pin tucks, puffing, feather stitches, pin stitching and more using your sewing machine on a garment, a pillow or bonnet.  Garments/items depicted in picture are for visual purposes.  It's up to you to make whatever you want to make. It is necessary that you purchase your supplies in advance of the first day of class.  Patterns, fabric and other supplies are available at MSS for your shopping convenience.  In addition, you will receive a 10% discount on class supplies.
